Bathymetrix is currently under contract with the Department of Geosciences at Princeton University
to manage MERMAID operations and data analysis for EarthScope-Oceans.
Bathymetrix manages the full lifecycle of data collected by MERMAID floats, from wrangling through curation and archival at the EarthScope Data Management Center, making MERMAID data available to scientists worldwide. We emphasize clean, maintainable code and develop open workflows for long-term use through GitHub.
Bathymetrix leads original research projects and consults with scientists interested in utilizing MERMAID data. We built the software pipeline used to associate untagged acoustic data with natural events and pick seismoacoustic arrival times. Recently, we led the development of a whole-ocean-basin acoustic attenuation model.
